Obituary – Roy D. Wilson
Roy D. Wilson, 72 of Howard Pa, passed away on Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at his home.
Roy was born in Huntington Pa on August 4, 1952 to the late John H. and Anna ( Estep) Wilson. On Sept 14, 2002 he married the former Nancy (Ardner) Wilson who predeceased him in death on July 2, 2024.
He graduated from Penn Highland High School in 1972. He worked in the maintenance department for Penn State starting at the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center then transferred to Penn State University main campus for a total of 32 years, retiring on January 7th, 2025. Roy loved to spend time with family and friends, camping, fishing, and traveling. He enjoyed spending time with his church family at the Mill Hall United Methodist church and was member of Liberty Township Sportsman’s Association for many years.
Roy is survived by one son, Kevin (Melissa) Wilson of Shippensburg Pa, one step son, Scott (Corrine) Peters, and a step daughter Tina (Kevin)Schulz of Belvidere, IL. He is also survived by six grandchildren Cameron and Hunter Wilson, Amy and Tim Parks, and Brandon and Ryan Rutherford. Along with two great grandchildren, Nicolas Townsend and Montana Parks.
He was predeceased in death by two sisters, Carol Saunders and Grace Mitchell along with two brothers, John and Marlin Wilson.
A Memorial Service from Roy D. Wilson will be held 11am on Thursday June 5, 2025 at the Mill Hall United Methodist Church, 212 Dannis St. Mill Hall, Pa 17751. Officiating will be Pastor Rick Conklin of the church.
Interment will be at the convenience of the family in the Cedar Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials will be accepted to the church in Roy’s name.
