Donald Allen Stringfellow, Jr. (Spark), 70, of 2835 Renovo Road, Mill Hall, passed away Thursday, November 20, 2014 at his home.

Spark was born in Lock Haven on July 19, 1944, the son of the late Donald A., Sr. and Sarah VanGorden Stringfellow, who survives in Mill Hall.

On February 11, 1966 at the Mill Hall Church of Christ, Spark married the former Barbara J. Condo, who survives.

Spark attended Bald Eagle Nittany High School before enlisting in the U.S. Army where he obtained his diploma. He served in the Army from 1962 to 1965, spending the majority of his time in Germany.

Spark worked at Hammermill Paper Company for 22 years.  He then obtained his CDL from MTA Truck Driving School and worked for various trucking companies until his retirement at the age of 62.

He was a member of the Mill Hall Church of Christ.

Spark enjoyed his hobby of constructing and collecting model trains.  He loved the outdoors and also enjoyed spending time with his family, grandkids and his late dog, Cinder.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by a daughter, Pamela J. (David) Neff of Blanchard; two sons, Ronald A. of Mill Hall and Robert E. (Gale) Stringfellow of Lock Haven; two brothers, Daniel J., Sr. of Mill Hall and David L. (April) Stringfellow of McElhattan; a sister, Susan D. (Don) Miller of Mill Hall; seven grandchildren, Ski, Danielle and Roslynne Stringfellow, Dakota and Benjamin Neff and Logan and Ashleigh Stringfellow; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Robert E. Stringfellow.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 24, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington, Pa with Rev. Russell Moldovan officiating.

Friends and family will be received at the funeral home on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.

Private burial will follow at Sunnyside Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the Salvation Army “More Than Bread” program.
