James Carroll Sampson – Obituary

James Carroll Sampson, 77, 208 Susquehanna Ave., South Renovo, PA died

November 1, 2017 at his home. Born Sept. 6, 1940 in Wilmington, DE he was the son of the late Stanley and Velma Belle Hamm Sampson. His wife, the former Darlene Ann Fisher, survives at home.

Jim was marine welder and had last worked for C. J. Langenfelder. He also was an aircraft mechanic and had received two years training from Martin-Marietta in Baltimore, MD. He had built himself an airplane which he enjoyed flying and he enjoyed riding his Harley. In his earlier years he also enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He is survived by one son, James C. Sampson, Jr. , South Renovo, PA,  one daughter, Shannon E. Sampson, South Renovo, PA, one sister, Mary Bautista, Newark, DE,  and three grandchildren, Ivory Clanton-Sampson, Isaiah Clanton-Sampson and Harlow Sampson.

He was preceded in death by, two sisters, Marilyn Louise Justice and Virginia Sampson and one brother, Charles Sampson.

Services honoring the life of James C. Sampson will be private at the convenience of the family. There will be no public visitation.
