Bald Eagle takes down Central Mountain, 3-0

WINGATE- Bald Eagle Area baseball continued their hot start with a strong home victory over Central Mountain, 3-0.
The Eagles, a District 6 2A power would use the pitching of senior Westin McClain to hold the Wildcats to just two hits over the course of seven innings.
BEA managed to score in the bottom of the third inning and added two more runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to build the 3-0 lead. McClain would continue to hold the Central Mountain bats in check the remainder of the contest.
Gage Laughner had a solid day on the mound for Central Mountain. The Wildcat junior only allowed 4 hits against BEA in 6 innings of work.
Watt Probst and Kevin Grenninger collected Central Mountain’s only hits. Grenninger’s hit was a double.
Now 9-3, the Wildcats will hit the road again on Monday when they look to snap their current 2 game losing streak at Shamokin. Central Mountain already owns a 12-2 win over the Indians back on April 19.
