LHU:Volleyball closes 2022 regular season at East Stroudsburg
EAST STROUDSBURG, PA – The Lock Haven volleyball team (1-24, 1-13 PSAC East) finished off the regular season with a road match at East Stroudsburg University (14-13, 8-6 PSAC East) in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division action, which saw the Warriors defend their court, winning the match, 3-0 (25-19, 25-16, 25-10).
Set one saw the Bald Eagles blast 13 kills over the net, but East Stroudsburg held strong late to take the opener, 25-19. Gabriela Fialova (Ledec nad Sazavou, Czech Republic/ (Indian River)),
Evie Jane Rembold (Lock Haven, Pa./Central Mountain), and Alyssa Daley (Everett, Pa./Everett) combined for 11 kills in the first set.
The Warriors kept things rolling, taking the second set 25-16 after smacking 15 kills during the set. ESU finished off the afternoon sweep, winning the last set, 25-10.
Samantha Swenby (Evergreen, Colo./Evergreen), Fialova, and Rembold all contributed on the offensive side, each leading in kills with six. Daley led the match in total blocks with three.
