TWO LADY PHOENIX PLACE IN OWN TOURNAMENT

LOGANTON – The young Sugar Valley Rural Charter Lady Phoenix had two place winners, as

the host team finished 11th in the 13 team field of the Lady Phoenix Christmas Classic on

Saturday. Piper Lane finished in third place and Isabelle Snyder took fourth place for the home

team.

Lane won third place by pinning Gracie Hostrander of Jersey Shore in 51 seconds of the first

period, while Snyder was pinned by Paige Walker of Southern Huntingdon in 1:46 of their third

place match to finish in fourth place.

Other Lady Phoenix wrestlers saw Aaliyah Hopkins and Keelie Wetzel both went 1-2 in the

tournament, while Kayleigh Showers and Abbey Immel both finished 0-2 to round out the roster.

Southern Huntingdon captured the team title, as the Lady Rockets finished with 125 points, two

champs and nine place winners overall. Central Mountain was second with 100.5 points with

two champs and six Lady Wildcats placing. Muncy was third with 81 points, Wellsboro was

fourth with 77 points and Jersey Shore rounded out the top five with 73 points. The Lady

Phoenix finished 11th with 30 points.
