Dorothy Theresa Dickey, 86, of Beech Creek passed away Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at Bucktail Medical Center.
Dorothy, born February 15, 1935 in Buffalo, New York, was a daughter of the late Walter and Victoria Zadonowicz.
On April 9, 1957, she married Jack D. Dickey. Together, they moved to Pennsylvania where they shared 54 years of marriage before his passing in 2011.
Throughout the years, she was employed at Island Poultry, as a hospital aide and part-time at the Clinton County Auto Auction.
She was a member of the Blanchard Church of Christ.
Dorothy was a past member of the Bucktail Marine Corp Detachment and was a faithful volunteer in their annual Toys for Tots drive.
During her many years of time “in the country,” Dorothy enjoyed fishing, hunting, the company of her pets and running the household. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. They brought many big smiles to her face in these later years.
Surviving are her sons, Joe (Mary Beth) Dickey and Walt (Sandy) Dickey; grandchildren: Amidea (George) Daniel, Nathanael (Kat) Dickey, Erica (Brian) Scannell and Karl Dickey; and great grandchildren: Evangeline, Logan, Finnegan and Ella. She will be sorely missed by all.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers and five sisters.
A private funeral service for immediate family will be held on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at 9 A.M. at Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington with Rev. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to either the Blanchard Church of Christ or Bucktail Medical Center through the funeral home.
