Four KCSD Athletes Earn All-State Softball Honors
WILLIAMSPORT — The Pennsylvania High School Coaches Softball All-Star Team for 2015 has brought recognition for four Keystone Central players, three from Central Mountain and one from Bucktail.
All four earned honorable mention honors following standout seasons. The three from Central Mountain: third baseman Bryann Hilty, shortstop Jessica Strouse and second baseman Josie Dershem. Representing Bucktail is senior catcher Maria Morgan.
Strouse and Hilty are senior four-year starters for the Lady Wildcats. Strouse, who saw time defensively at second base and shortstop, built a .463 batting average with 31 hits and 21 RBI and had one homer this year. Hilty had a .452 average with 28 hits and 28 RBI and had two homers this season. Freshman Dershem stood tall at second base and shortstop when she was not working in the circle in 2015. Dershem put up some impressive stats for a first-year varsity player with a .476 average, 30 hits, 11 RBI and 2 homers in the regular season. She was 5-0 as a pitcher in the regular season.
Morgan returned to Bucktail softball after a year off and put up standout numbers, batting .489 on a 22-of-45 performance, including 17 RBIs and one homerun.
