MILL HALL – Determination, grit, and athletic excellence surged through the streets of Mill Hall as competitors in the IRONMAN 70.3 Pennsylvania tackled the cycling leg of the triathlon on Sunday.

The event began with a 1.2-mile open-water swim loop in the Foster Sayers Reservoir at Bald Eagle State Park, featuring a beach start and finish. From there, athletes transitioned to the 56-mile cycling course that wound through Central Pennsylvania’s picturesque countryside, including a key stretch through the Mill Hall community.

Residents and spectators lined the route, cheering on competitors as they pedaled past — providing encouragement and enthusiasm that exemplified the area’s strong community spirit.

The race concluded with a dynamic 13.1-mile run through the campus of Penn State University, giving athletes one final challenge and an opportunity to gauge their position against fellow competitors.
