Renovo’s Heritage Park Hosts Sold-Out ‘Tragedy at the Tipple’ Murder Mystery Dinner, A Hilarious Whodunit

RENOVO-Tragedy at the Tipple, a murder mystery written by Renovo’s Bob Shank proved a comedic and dramatic success as the Greater Renovo Heritage Park used the play as the scene of their annual murder mystery dinner. Another sell-out mystery, Shank’s fictional play evolved around a murder that happened near the coal tipple in the 1960’s at the western end of Renovo. Filled with timely town-specific references, often in the comedic vein, provided humerus moments as the crowd tried to determine who the guilty party was. Even the lighting used as a nod to the 1960’s with a yellowish tint while cutaways to the newsman were in black and white. The play of course boasted area talent with singing and performances throughout the evening.
