Richard D. “Dusty” Stover
Obituary
Richard D. “Dusty” Stover, 86, of Flemington, passed away at home on Friday, October 22, 2021.
Born January 20, 1935 in Millheim, he was the eldest son of Earl W. Stover and Beatrice E. (Keen) Stover.
Most of the time, you would find Dusty working- but then he found time to relax with a good NASCAR race or shooting pool with some “good ole guys” while drinking his root beer. His biggest legacy left may be is his famous jokes, pranks and very long-winded stories, often with new twists and turns. He truly enjoyed all he could out of life. He was always on the go, enjoyed watching mother nature and loved his fur pups he cared for over his life.
He is survived by his long-time love of his life, Kathy Persun of Trout Run; his siblings, Kerry W. (Trudy) Stover and Cythia K. Shumac, both of Flemington; his children, Judy Ann (Jimmy) Smith of Washingtonville, OH and their children, Meg and Nicole, Douglas R. (Liz) Stover of Rayland, OH and their children, DJ and Rob, Scottina “Tina” (Michelle) Stover Smith of Concord, CA and their two children, Sylvia and Jessica; and ten great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Dusty was preceded in death by his sister, Karen E. (Alan) Stover Hafer of Bernville, PA.
As he always said, “it’s ‘grand’ parents,” so he earned the title of granduncle and great granduncle to his family and all the generations that follow him.
