Bucktail tennis sweeps NPL at home, 5-0

FARWELL- Bucktail tennis head coach Allison Heiser had her squad back to full strength on Thursday afternoon and it showed with a perfect 5-0 win over visiting NP-Liberty at home.

Bucktail’s number one Eva Sockman missed the Lady Bucks loss to South Williamsport a day ago, but the senior was back with a 6=3, 6-4 win over the Lady Mounties’ Annie Johns.

Kendall Wagner dispatched NPL’s Elyna Booth 6-0, 6-0. Wagner’s win was followed by Lola English downing Elena Hazelton 6-1,6-0.

In doubles, the Lady Bucks had their normal starting lineup and it paid off. McKenna Bissman and Kelsie Wagner took care of business at number one with a 6-2, 6-2 win over NP-Liberty’s Cummings and Marisa Bradford.

Carrie Ditty and Riley Salizonni completed the Bucktail sweep by downing Khloe Heichel and Hailey Hess.

Now 6-1, Bucktail will next be in action when they head north to Westfield to meet Cowanesque Valley on Tuesday.
