Lady Wildcats Tennis Down Williamsport, 4–1
WILLIAMSPORT – The Central Mountain girls tennis team put together a strong performance on the road Thursday, defeating Williamsport by a 4–1 margin.
The Lady Wildcats swept all three singles matches. Addison Lindsay set the tone at No. 1 singles with a dominant 6-0, 6-0 win over Audrey Dincher. Lucy Walker followed with a 6-1, 6-4 victory against Gabriella McQuillen, and Lane Walker completed the singles sweep, taking down Lilly Judge 6-2, 6-3.
In doubles play, Audra Eaton and Kassie Williams secured a 6-1, 6-3 win over Peyton Kelley and Maddy Lundy at the top spot. Williamsport earned its lone point at No. 2 doubles, where Gianna Vitko and Naomi Lee topped Tess Akeley and Leah Wian 6-0, 6-1.
Head coach Tom Zettle praised his squad’s effort, noting, “Well played match by the CM girls. I’m very happy with their performance today.”
