LHU MBB: Isaiah Stewart and Eli Washington earn PSAC Men’s Basketball All-Conference honors
LOCK HAVEN– Lock Haven men’s basketball senior guards Eli Washington and Isaiah Stewart earned Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division All-Conference honors, the conference office announced on Thursday.
The PSAC Men’s Basketball All-Conference awards are voted on by the coaches.
The backcourt tandem led the Bald Eagles to the their sixth straight PSAC Postseason Tournament as the No. 5 seed after finishing the regular season 15-12 overall and 12-9 in conference play.
Washington and Stewart earned the first all-conference honors in their careers.
Eli Washington, Second Team Guard
Washington averaged 13.5 points, 4.3 assists, 3.4 rebounds and 1.7 steals per game to land on the All-PSAC Second Team.
The Bald Eagle point guard ranked seventh in the PSAC in assists per game and sixth in steals per game.
The second-teamer scored in double figures in all but six games, including a season-high of 25 points against Goldey-Beacom.
Washington recorded a 10-point, 10-assist double-double against Georgian Court.
On Nov. 22, Washington became the 22nd player in program history to score 1000-career points. The grad student finished his career with 1285 points, 380 steals and 159 steals. Washington ranks third all-time in program history in total assists and is in the top-10 for assists per game.
Washington led the team with 92 makes at the foul line and was third in 3-pointers with 26 makes from behind the arch.
In 2023-24, Washington was the Men’s Basketball PSAC Scholar Champion.
Isaiah Stewart, Second Team Guard
Stewart led the Bald Eagles and ranked 23rd in the conference with a scoring average of 14.0 points per game. Stewart also averaged 3.9 assists and 3.6 rebounds per game, while shooting 82 percent from the foul line.
The senior scored in double-figures in 21 games, while scoring over 20 points seven times, including his season-high outburst of 27 in the victory over ESU in the regular-season finale.
The second-teamer dished out eight assists twice and pulled in eight rebounds against Bowie State.
Stewart knocked down a team-high 48 trifectas, which ranked just outside the top-15 in the conference.
