Team Bair and Gair the Painter Provide New Sign for Approaching County Fair

Fairground sign

MACKEYVILLE — It’s a new sign at the Clinton County Fairgrounds and a new opening date for the 44th annual County Fair. Bair Stone Masonry’s Ron and Ronnie Bair this week put the finishing touches on the new sign at the entrance to the fairgrounds near Mackeyville. The sign itself was created by Gary Lamey of Blanchard, the roof provided by area Amish. The fair moves up a week this year, starting Friday, July 29. Meanwhile the ever-expanding Farmers and Flea Market continues its Tuesday 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. schedule through Sept. 20, every Tuesday except for fair week, Aug.2.
