Wildcats FB Scrimmage at Bellefonte
BELLEFONTE — Central Mountain got its first look at foreign competition today, a scrimmage at Bellefonte.
The Wildcats drove the length of the field to score first after shutting down the Red Raiders on their first possession. Bellefonte would later score against Central Mountain while both teams had their first units on the field.
Junior Justin Neff started at quarterback for the Wildcats with previous starter senior Bryce Bitner joining fellow senior Hunter Weaver and junior Bryce Mansfield as running backs.
The Wildcats will scrimmage at Selinsgrove next Friday before opening the season at home on Friday, Sept. 4 against Williamsport. Second-year head coach Mike Nines is working with a senior high squad of 47 members.
