bucks-basketballALTOONA – Bucktail’s Maria Morgan received Class A First Team honors in the Pennsylvania Sports Writers 20114-15 All-State Girls’ Basketball selection.

Morgan, who capped her record setting senior season with this honor also leads the entire field, in all classes, with a 28.0 point per game scoring average for her 2014-15 season.

Morgan played a total of 90 Varsity games in her high school career for the Lady Bucks as she finished with 2,407 total points, avg. 26.7 per game for four varsity seasons. With 640 assists, avg. 7.1 per game; steals 543, avg. 6.0 per game; rebounds 446; avg. 5.0 per game. Morgan shot 44% (888/2,020) from the field and had 65.3% (437/669) from the foul line in her career.

Other players from District 6 and District 4 also receiving all-state honors were: Maci Bower, Millville; Ali Hillson, North Penn-Mansfield; Lili Benzel, Bishop Guilfoyle; Ana Hollen, Bellwood-Antis; Haley Thomas, Bishop McCort; Kayla Kline, Mifflinburg; and Kyla Irwin, State College.
