Obituary

Deborah Romaine (Casper) Gentzyel, 60, of North Bend passed away Sunday, January 30, 2022. She was the wife of Todd R. Gentzyel who she married on October 24, 2020.

Born April 27, 1961 in Lock Haven she was the daughter of the late Gerald B. and Lois M. (Welch) Casper. Deborah worked at Hope Enterprises in Renovo for over 23 years.

Deborah was known for her nurturing spirit and she loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed shopping, crafting, and going for rides near the Bush Dam. She took pride in maintaining her home, decorating and rearranging, tending to her gardens, and planning for Christmas all year round with gifts and decorations bought months in advance.

In addition to her husband, Todd, she is survived by three children, Brad A. (Rachel) Casper of Lock Haven, Amy M. (Jeffrey) Clary of Renovo, and Gary D. (Jill) Stewart, Jr. of Alexandria, VA; two stepchildren, Nick C. (Tanya) Gentzyel of Renovo, and Patricia M. (Chris Decker) Gentzyel of Bellefonte; nine grandchildren, Kayli Casper, Braden Casper, Rocklin Casper, Tucker Clary, Scarlett Clary, Fiona Clary, Mickey Clary, Maya Stewart, and Baby Stewart; three step- grandchildren, Aubrey Hanes, Caroline Peck, and Gianna Gentzyel; one brother, Gerald “Noonie” (Kelly) Casper of Renovo; and nieces and nephews, Shane (Molly) Casper of Lock Haven, Cierra Casper of Renovo, and Jena (Vinnie) Kruzick of Soldotna, AK.

A visitation for friends and family will be from 1-2 p.m. on Friday, February 4, 2022 at Maxwell Funeral Home, 205 5th Street, Renovo, PA.

A funeral service will directly follow at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Robert Pickering officiating. Burial will be at North Bend Cemetery.
