David Earl “Daisy” Weaver

Obituary

David Earl “Daisy” Weaver, 70, of 99 Beech Creek Avenue, Mill Hall, died Monday, January 24, 2022, at the UPMC-Williamsport Hospital.  

 He was born November 12, 1951 in Lock Haven, the son of the late Earl C. and Helen L. Packer Weaver. 

Dave was a 1970 graduate of Lock Haven High School.  

 He was first employed at Piper Aircraft Corporation and, along with his father, operated an auto body paint and repair shop in Flemington for many years. For a brief time, he owned and operated PeeWee’s Hoagie Shop and General Store in Flemington. Dave was later employed by PennDOT from which he retired. 

He was a well-known karaoke DJ throughout the area for the past two decades. 

Dave was an active member of the Lock Haven Area Jaycees and was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Sons of Italy.  

 He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time at his trailer at Little Place Campground in Haneyville. Dave was an avid Penn State, Buffalo Bills and Las Vegas Raiders football fan as well as a Pittsburgh Pirates baseball fan.  

 He was a loving father, grandfather, brother and uncle. 

He is survived by one son, Jeremy P. Weaver of Lock Haven; a sister, Cathy Gonzales of Flemington; a grandson, Jake Dylan Weaver; a niece, Mary Wagner (Dan Ardner); and a nephew, Andy Gonzales (Tara).  

 In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a niece, Aurelia Gonzales.
A celebration of Dave’s life will be held Saturday, January 29, 2022, at 11:00 AM, at the Flemington First Church of Christ, with the Rev. Mark Riley officiating.
