Obituary

Helen Catherine (Hanobik) Daywalt, 97, a former resident of S. Renovo passed away, Friday, January 21, 2022 at UPMC Haven Place, Lock Haven where she resided since June 2020.

Born October 14, 1924 in South Renovo, PA, a daughter of the late Adam Hanobik and Mary (Klima) Hanobik.
Helen was Catholic by faith. She graduated from St. Joseph High School class of 1942.

She worked for Pennsylvania State Tuberculosis Hospital, South Mountain, PA, Pennsylvania Railroad Shops, Renovo, Shirt Factory of Renovo and S. Renovo and the New York Bakery in Cleveland, PA.

Helen was fond of her flowers, birds, and gardening. She also enjoyed bowling and traveling.

Helen is survived by two sons, Thomas E. Daywalt of South Renovo, James M. Daywalt (Darlene) of West Renovo and a daughter, Ann M. Loudenslager of Jersey Shore, her only grandchild, Mandie L. Hall (Jeremy) of Montgomery and her children Porter and Jaxson, along with several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at St. Joseph Church, 925 Huron Ave., with the Rev. Joseph Orr officiating.

A viewing for family and friends will be held at the Maxwell Funeral Home, 205 Fifth St., Renovo from 12:00 – 12:45 on Wednesday.

Memorial contributions can be made in her memory to St. Joseph Catholic Church Improvement Fund.

Burial will be private at St. Joseph Cemetery, Hyner.
