Obituary
Gordon R. Barrett, Jr., 77, formerly of Lock Haven went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 25, 2021 at Williamsport South Rehabilitation & Nursing Center.
Born September 1, 1944 in Lock Haven, he was a son of the late Gordon R. and Betty J. (Laubach) Barrett, Sr.
Gordon was a graduate of Lock Haven High School.
On October 16, 1976, he was united in marriage to Helen V. Barrett who preceded him in death on May 22, 2011.
Gordon was employed as a custodian at American Color & Chemical.
He attended Avis United Methodist Church before moving to Lock Haven. He then attended Hillview Wesleyan Church and First Baptist Church.
Gordon loved the outdoors- whether hunting, camping or going on mountain rides with his family. He also enjoyed doing puzzles.
He leaves behind his two sons, Matthew P. Barrett of Avis and Mark D. Barrett of Jeanette; four siblings: Gary (Helen) Barrett of Howard, Puala Heffelfinger of South Bend, Indiana, Bill (Holly) Barrett of Mill Hall and Kathy (Bill) Stankiewicz of Lock Haven; and three grandchildren: Nathanael, Josiah and Thomas Barrett.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a brother, David Barrett.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at 11 A.M. at the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington with Rev. Timothy Boger officiating. Interment with Military Rites will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Friends and family will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 10 A.M. until the time of the service.
