Jared Wayne Smith, 41, of Renovo, passed away Friday, December 17, 2021 at UPMC Williamsport Hospital from complications of COVID-19.
Born February 27, 1980 in Lock Haven, he was the son of the late Donald T. Smith and Deb Young Smith, who survives.
Jared was a 1998 graduate of Lock Haven High School.
On February 18, 2017 at the Susquehanna Valley Big Twins Club of Woolrich, he married the love of his life, the former Nichole J. Raudabaugh, who survives.
Jared was employed as a truck driver for many years and owned and operated Smith and Smith Drywalling & Painting with his wife, Nichole.
He was a member of the Renovo Fire Department.
Jared was a self-proclaimed “jack of all trades and master of none” and was always willing to use those skills to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He was an outdoor enthusiast and had a passion for hunting, fishing and hiking. Jared dedicated himself to supporting his family and adored the time he spent with his wife, children and granddaughter.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by six children, Zoey (R.G.) Aungst of Mill Hall, Ciarrah Smith of Lock Haven, Yorick (Abby) Smith of Renovo, Kage Smith of Towanda, Jeremy Gallagher, Jr. of Renovo and Jocelynne Gallagher of Renovo; a brother, Donald M. Smith; four sisters, Tina M. Geyer, Deneen Knisely, Denise Smith and Elizabeth “Libby” Bilbay; and the light of his life, his granddaughter, Leela Aungst.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph L. Smith.
Services for Jared will be held privately at the convenience of his family.
