Linda D. (Girton) Goodling

Obituary

Linda D. (Girton) Goodling, 60, of South Renovo passed away Friday, December 10, 2021 at Methodist Hospital in Philadelphia.

Born January 2, 1961 in Erie a daughter of the late Warren and Rhea (Pickering) Girton.

She was a board member of Heritage Park and participated in many of their activities. She was a proud member of the Bucktail class of ’79. She always enjoyed crafting and using those skills to help create many floats for the Flaming Foliage Festivals both for Heritage Park and as an honorary member of the Bucktail Class of ’76. She always enjoyed watching the Bucktail High sporting events, both as an audience member and when she kept score book for the Lady Bucks basketball team for many years.

Her door was always open, and she would often threaten to “beat” you if you dared to knock instead of just walking in. Her heart was as open as her front door, and she was always there to offer support and encouragement for any and all who needed it. She absolutely adored all of her “kids” and loved hearing updates from all of them.

Linda is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Michael, her two brothers, Jim (Vivian) and Ronald “Butch” (Linda), her two children, Magdelene “Maggie” (Thomas) and Michael “Mikey” (Mallori), two grandchildren, Leliana and Warren, two adopted children, Carol Taylor (Sam, Olivia, Peyton) and Bradley Kile (Natasha, Kameron, Ashlynn, Emberly) numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. She has been “Momma Linda” and “Grammy Lin” to many others in the community throughout the years.

A private family service will be held.

A public memorial service is being planned for a later date and will be announced.

In lieu of flowers the family is asking for donations to be made in her name to Heritage Park or donations to the family to support medical bills (gofundme).
