Obituary
Sally G. Heck, 68, of Jersey Shore, passed away at her home on Wednesday, August 11, 2021.
Born December 21, 1952, in Lock Haven, she was the daughter of the late John L. and Violet Kramer Walizer.
Sally was a 1970 graduate of Bald Eagle Nittany High School. She later graduated and received her Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification from the former Centre County Vocational-Technical School.
Sally was employed as an LPN at several medical clinics and facilities throughout the area.
She was married for 18 years to Dale E. Heck, who survives in Jersey Shore.
Sally enjoyed Bingo, cross stitching, scrapbooking for her family and playing PA Small Games of Chance. She was an accomplished baker and gardener, winning many awards over the years for her baked and canned goods. Sally also took pride in her wonderful penmanship, which was recognizable to all who knew her well.
In addition to her husband, Dale, she is survived by two sons, Max A. (Holly) Rishel of York and Todd M. (Jen) Rishel of Jersey Shore; a daughter, Ashley J. (Tim) Walker of Lock Haven; a step-son, Aaron C. Heck of Jersey Shore; two sisters, Alice J. Seyler of Loganton and Alma M. (Walter) Miller of Lamar; a brother, John L. (Peg) Walizer, Jr. of Dallastown; a brother-in-law, Kenneth (Julie) Heck of Jersey Shore; a sister-in-law, Linda Heck of Tioga; her parents-in-law, William and Mae Heck of Jersey Shore; eight grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Allen H. “Sonny”, Edwin L., Minor H., and Thomas J. Walizer; a sister, Cathy E. Lee, and a brother-in-law, Carl J. Seyler.
A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, August 17, 2021, at 10 A.M. at the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc, 231 High St., Flemington, PA 17745 with Pastor William Danis officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Mill Hall.
Friends and family will be received at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6 P.M. – 8 P.M.
Memorial contributions in her name may be made through the funeral home to the Clinton County SPCA or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
