Obituary

James Woods “Woodsie” Rich passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 after an extended illness.

He was born on May 21, 1958 in Williamsport.

On August 22, 1981, he married the former Lori Raab, with whom he shared nearly 40 years of marriage.

Woodsie was a loving father to his three sons: Jordon of Woolrich, Joshua of New York City and Jared (wife, Chelsea) of Johns Island, South Carolina.

Woodsie graduated from Lock Haven High School and Portland State University.

He was employed at Woolrich for more than 35 years and also served on their Board of Directors for several years.

Woodsie was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Palmyra.

He was also a member of the Brownstone Lodge 666 in Hershey as well as the Harrisburg Consistory and Zembo Shrine.

Woodsie loved to hunt and fish at Larry’s Creek Fish and Game Club where he was a member.

In addition to his wife and sons, he is survived by his brother, John William (Anne); sisters, Phoebe and Lydia (Rex); and six nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at 11 A.M. at Woolrich Community Church, 1080 Park Ave., Woolrich, PA  17779.  Interment will follow at Woolrich Cemetery.

Friends and family will be received at the church on Saturday from 10 A.M. until the time of the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Masonic Village of Pennsylvania, 1 Masonic Dr., Elizabethtown, PA  17022.
