Obituary
Frances Ann Marshall, 67, of Woodward Meadows, Lock Haven, passed away Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at her home.
Born July 9, 1954 in Lock Haven, she was the daughter of the late John “Rance” and Helen Randecker Carter, Sr.
Fran was a 1972 graduate of Lock Haven High School.
She was employed at Woolrich Woolen Mills for several years prior to the mill closing. She then worked at Truck Lite until her retirement in 2019.
Fran loved socializing with her friends, especially their kayaking adventures on the river, their many car rides they took over the years and their trips to the beach. She also enjoyed her trips to Colorado to visit her daughter, Jennifer, and her family.
She is survived by two daughters, Jennifer A. (Aaron) Smith of Colorado and Andrea R. (David) Sorgen of Lock Haven; a brother, John R. (Jeannette) Carter, Jr.; four grandchildren, Gage T. Sorgen, Alayna J. Shirey, Olivia R. Sorgen and Rylie S. Smith; a nephew, Matthew Carter of Renovo; a niece, Cara (Joe) Coulson of Dillsburg; and her great-nephew, Dean Coulson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Fred J. Carter.
A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, August 1, 2021 at 7 P.M. at the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington, PA 17745.
Friends and family will be received at the funeral home on Sunday from 5 P.M. until the time of the service.
