Denise Marie McCloskey – Obituary

“I thought of all the yesterdays, the good ones and the bads.  I thought of all the love we shared and all the fun we had.  If I could relive yesterday, I thought, just for a while, I’d say goodbye and kiss you, and maybe see you smile.”

Denise Marie McCloskey, 48, of Blanchard, passed away Saturday, September 20, 2014 surrounded by family and loved ones.

After fighting for six years, she lost her battle of cancer.

Denise leaves behind her loving husband, Ralph McCloskey of Blanchard; her parents, Gene and Liz Kalafut of Renovo; a brother and sister-in-law, George and Kathy Kalafut; her loving nephews, Ethan and Quiton Kalafut; five children: Alicia McGowan, James McGowan, Joshua Culver, Kylea Culver, and Kelsey Brungard; and nine grandchildren: Aaliyah, Maverick, McKenna, and Bently McGowan, Amelia and Noah Titus, Blake Brungard, Elizabeth McCloskey, and Camdyen Mason.

She loved her children, and especially her grandchildren.

There will be a small memorial gathering for close family and friends.

Denise’s family wants her to know they will always miss her terribly, and they love her.  They are very proud of how hard she fought.

Thank you, Denise, for being the best mother, daughter, sister, aunt, wife, and friend.
