Paul J. Fantaskey,III,  66, of Renovo passed away Thursday, August, 28, 2014 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. He was born in Renovo on September 10, 1947 a son of the late Paul J. Fantaskey, Jr. and Genevieve (Crossley). Paul was married to the former Sharon A. Gentzyel on July 17, 1970 they celebrated 44 years of marriage together.

He served in the Navy during the Vietnam War from 1965- 1967. Paul was a former police officer and was the owner/operator of several businesses in Renovo for the past 45 years.
He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He served on the hospital board at Bucktail Medical Center. He was a member of the Western Clinton County Municipal Authority. He was currently serving as president of Renovo Council.

He was a member of the American Legion and was a former Civil Defense Director.

Surviving are his wife; two sons Shawn (Paula Dake) Fantaskey of North Bend and Travis (Brenda) Fantaskey of Renovo and one daughter Tina Fantaskey of Renovo also 8 grandchildren Robert, Chelsie, Dawson, Ryan, Nick, Kyle, Maria and Makenzi and 4 great-grandchildren.

One brother Kenny (Marlene) Fantaskey of Coudersport and a sister Pauline (Gene) McCauley of Lock Haven. Also a special Uncle George Fantaskey of South Renovo.
He was preceded in death by a brother Clifford and two grandsons Tony Getz and Joey Grey.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 30, 2014 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 925 Huron Ave., with Father David J. Arseneault officiating.
Friends and relatives were received one hour prior to the service at the church.

Burial followed at St. Joseph Cemetery, Hyner.

Memorial Contributions can be made in his memory to Bucktail Medical Center, 1001 Pine Street, S. Renovo, PA 1764 or St. Joseph Catholic Improvement fund.
