Lady Wildcat Tennis Clobbers Milton, 5-0

MILTON – The Cereal Mountain tennis team returned to the courts after a few days off and picked up with where they left off with a 5-0 shutout on the road at Milton. It was another classic effort for the Lady Wildcats as they swept the Lady Panthers in straight sets.

Carolina Carpenetti started the day off for CM with a 6-1, 6-1 win over Milton’s, Alanna Stamm at No. 1 singles. At No. 2 singles it was the exact same outcome for Lady ‘Cat, Olivia Anastos as she defeated Brooklyn Wade of the Lady Panthers, 6-1, 6-1. Kati Kwiatek capped off the singles action with a solid 6-0, 6-0 win over Milton’s, Maddy Nicholas at No. 3 singles.

The Central Mountain duo of Caitlyn Dale and Ella Talbot dispatched Lady Panther team of Mackenzie Counsil and Maddy Chappell, 6-0, 6-1 at No. 1 doubles while Claire Long and Zeta Blesh wrapped up the clean sweep with another CM win at No. doubles, defeating Milton’s, Lydie Crawford and Addy Ayala, 6-0, 6-1.

The win improves Central Mountain to 12-1 on the season and will next host Shikellamy for Senior Day on Wednesday, Sept. 30 at 4 p.m.
