UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.– The No. 17/16 Penn State football team hosts No. 18 Iowa Saturday for a 3:30 p.m. kick in Beaver Stadium. The Penn State Military Appreciation Week contest, featuring seats for Servicemembers, will air on ESPN, GoPSUsports.com, the Penn State Sports Radio Network and SiriusXM Ch. 196.

Penn State (5-2; 2-2) comes into the contest off a 33-28 at Indiana last Saturday, ending a two game PSU losing streak. Iowa (6-1; 3-1 Big Ten) last Saturday shut out Maryland by a 23-0 score, holding the Terrapins to 115 yards of offense.

50th Reunion of 1967-69 Squads; Pair of 11-0 teams ranked No. 2:
Members of Penn State’s 1967-69 teams will be recognized at halftime on Saturday. The 1968 and ’69 squads posted 11-0 records, capped by Orange Bowl victories, and finished No. 2 in the AP poll both years. The 1967-69 teams, coached by Joe Paterno, produced a 31-game unbeaten streak (30-0-1), with a tie vs. Florida State in the 1967 Gator Bowl the only blemish. The streak started with the fourth game of the 1967 season (win at Boston College) and ended with the second game of the 1970 campaign (loss at Colorado).

Penn State has again announced parking changes for the Iowa game, due to existing wet conditions and the forecast for additional rain this week. Vehicles will be re-directed to other parking lots near Beaver Stadium.

Parking Lot Changes for Iowa Game
-Yellow Lot 12, the Orange Preferred Car, Brown Preferred and Family Friendly lots will be closed on game day
-Blue and Orange RV Lots will be closed to RVs. Patrons who normally park an RV in the Blue or Orange lot will be able to park one car with their RV permit.
-Purple Lot: RV permit holders on grass (no white stripe) will be closed to RVs. One car per permit will be accepted.

Intercollegiate Athletics utilizes several intramural fields for football parking and this week’s rain will continue to cause more damage to the fields with fall intramural sports still in progress for Penn State students.

Fans who normally park cars and RVs in paved lots will be unaffected. Permit holders with a white stripe through their permit have a paved parking space, which are not impacted by this Saturday’s lot closures.

Penn State is asking patrons for their patience and understanding, as the wet conditions and forecast for rain later this week will make some grass lots unsuitable for parking. Fans are asked to carpool and avoid bringing an RV for the Iowa game, unless the RV parking is on pavement.

Fans are encouraged to arrive early for every game and reminded they can enter Beaver Stadium at any gate except the student gate – Gate A. Umbrellas are not permitted in Beaver Stadium.
