CM Track Teams Pickup Wins against South Williamsport

Lady Wildcats Dominate South Williamsport for Second Straight Victory

MILL HALL – The Central Mountain girls track and field team made it two wins in a row on Thursday with an overwhelming 112-29 victory over visiting South Williamsport. The Lady Wildcats controlled nearly every event on the track and in the field, displaying depth, speed, and team balance across the board.

Macy Plowman was electric in the sprints, claiming first in both the 100 and 200 meters. She also contributed to wins in the 4×100 and 4×400 relay teams, teaming up with Jocelyn Wiseman, Sarah Hall, and Macia Owens in the 4×100 and with Camryn Bair, Vivian Wilt, and Grace Keohane in the 4×400.

Bair added an individual win in the 400 meters and placed second in the 200, while Keohane earned first in the 800 and second in the 1600. Emma Wolfe won the 3200 and ran legs in the victorious 4×800 relay along with Calienna Cardinal, Sarah Lavallee, and Bair. Lavallee and Cardinal also finished second and third in the 3200.

In the hurdles, Wiseman and Wilt led a sweep of the 100 and 300-meter events. Wiseman took first in the 100 hurdles and third in the 300, while Wilt earned the win in the 300 hurdles. Hall and Owens added key points, rounding out the sweep in the 100 hurdles and placing second and third in the 300 hurdles.

In field events, Alaina Carnahan took first in the high jump and second in the triple jump. Lillian Downing was a force in the jumps as well, finishing second in the high jump, first in the long jump, and helping lead a sweep in the triple jump. Sophia Hoy added second in the long jump and won the triple jump, while Lavallee secured third in that event.

In throws, Alexandra Castillo earned first in the javelin, with Ellen Banfill placing second. Jaslyn Anderson took second in the discus, and Morgan Davis added third-place finishes in both shot put and discus.

Emily Brinker and Harper Conklin also contributed to scoring in the 200 and 100-meter events, respectively.

Wildcat Boys Track Rolls Past South Williamsport for Second Win of the Week

MILL HALL – The Central Mountain boys track and field team capped off a strong week with a dominant 90-37 victory over visiting South Williamsport on Thursday. Fueled by wins across the board in both running and field events, the Wildcats picked up their second win in just three days.

Isaiah Brinker led the way on the track and in the jumps. Brinker won both the 100- and 200-meter sprints, placed third in long jump, and claimed the top spot in the triple jump. Billy Newman added key points with a second-place finish in the 100 and high jump, and a runner-up finish in the long jump.

Jonathan Hughes earned first in the 400 meters, followed by Wyatt Heeman and Brayden Bird in a clean sweep of the event. Hughes also took third in the 200 and anchored the winning 4×400-meter relay team with Heeman and Bird. He also placed second in javelin.

In the distance events, junior Damien Winner took home victories in both the 1600 and 3200 meters, with freshman Che McAllister finishing second in the 3200 and Xian Deems placing third in the 800.

Freshman James Fausey notched a win in the 110-meter hurdles, and the Wildcats swept all three relays on the day. The 4×100-meter relay team of Owen Kaler, Ricky Rohrbach, Keron Yerger, and Dylan Bechdel took first, as did the 4×800 squad of Deems, Shane Walker, Myles Winslow, and Cameron Counsil.

In the field, Cooper Bottorf dominated once again with wins in both the shot put and discus. Dylan Crawford added a third-place finish in discus. Brinker and Evan Walker rounded out the triple jump scoring with first and second, respectively.

Bryce Warren won the high jump and helped secure more field points alongside Newman, while Newman also continued his consistent performance with a second-place finish in long jump.


The Wildcats return to action on Saturday, April 26 at the Lock Haven University Invitational, followed by their final home meet on Tuesday, April 30 against Williamsport at 4:00 p.m.
