Elizabeth A. Myers – Obituary
Our beloved mother, Elizabeth A. Myers, passed on Thursday, May 8th. Born on March 31,1939, the first child of the late Margaret Kane Probst, she graduated from Lock Haven High School before moving to Philadelphia to work as an operator at the Bell Telephone Company.
Following a brief marriage and the birth of a son, she would return to Lock Haven to work at American Color and Chemical. Remarried, she moved to Midland, Mi., as a homemaker. Three sons and a daughter would follow. Permanently disabled in the mid-1970’s, she lived out her years in a variety of health care facilities before passing at Muncy Valley Skilled Nursing Unit in Muncy, Pa.
She was preceded in passing by her mother, two sisters, Helen James and Doris James, and a brother, Thomas Probst. She is survived by her sons Thomas G. Burch of Renovo, Pa., Andrew D. Myers of Annapolis, Md., David A. Myers of Traverse City, Mi., and Joseph W. Myers of Budd Lake, NJ, as well as her daughter, Polly Ann Myers, of Midland, Mi., 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 15, 2014 at 3 p.m. at the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington, Pa. Private burial will be in Dunnstown Cemetery.
A viewing will be held from 2 p.m until the time of the service on Thursday.
