BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – The long awaited news of the new Wawa location to be built on the former Creek Side Restaurant/Aungst Family Restaurant site along Eagle Valley Road in Mill Hall is one step further to fruition.
Final land development plans for the location are being sent to Clinton County Planning, Bald Eagle Township Planning, Bald Eagle Township’s engineer, and lastly for the supervisors to vote on and approve within 90 days of receiving the plans.
“We are excited to be taking steps forward to welcoming Wawa to Bald Eagle Township and Clinton County,” township supervisor Steve Tasselli said.
Township Secretary/Treasurer Marissa Morgan received the package of plans Monday afternoon ahead of the Township Supervisors meeting Monday evening.
The plans show a building footprint of about 6,000 square feet, 71 parking spaces, 8 gas “islands” with the capacity for 16 total pumps, and parking around the perimeter of the building.
Two entrances are being planned, one to use the light as an entrance and exit at route 64 and Nittany Valley Drive, and the other further down Eagle Valley Road allowing southbound drivers to enter the Wawa, and allowing people exiting by turning right only onto Eagle Valley Road. Left-hand turns will be allowed at the traffic light.
It has been 18 months since the project was first announced in January 2024.
