Carole Jean Wolfe Smith – Obituary
Born October 4, 1952 in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Robert H. Wolfe and is survived by her Mother, Dorothy Sterrett Wolfe of Lock Haven.
Carole graduated from Lock Haven High School in 1970. She received her nursing degree from Beebe Hospital School of Nursing in Lewis, DE.
She worked at the Beebe Hospital and returned home to work at the Muncy Correctional Institution for 35 years, retiring in 2003. Throughout her years of nursing she also worked at Divine Providence Hospital in Williamsport, the Jersey Shore Hospital, and the Lock Haven Correctional Institution.
Carole was a lifetime member of St. Luke’s United Church of Christ, Lock Haven.
She loved to travel and did so extensively. Carole also enjoyed her monthly outings for lunch with her nursing friends.
In addition to her Mother, she is survived by several uncles, aunts, and cousins.
A funeral service honoring the life of Carole will be held on Friday, March 18, 2016 at 2 PM at the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington with Pastor Susan Champion officiating. Burial will be at Rest Haven Memorial Park.
Friends and family will be received at the funeral home from 1 PM until the time of the service.
Memorial contributions in Carole’s name may be made to either St. Luke’s United Church of Christ or Ross Public Library through the funeral home.
