Esther B. Reeder – Obituary
Born February 15, 1930 in Beech Creek, she was the daughter of the late John and Rosie Potter Mann.
On April 15, 1947 Esther married the love of her life, John J. “Jack” Reeder who preceded her in death on October 1, 2006.
Esther was employed as a nurses’ aide at Lock Haven Hospital and then worked for Piper Aircraft until their closing. After that she was a Private Home Health Aide.
She was a member of the Lock Haven Elks Ladies’ Auxiliary as well as the Castanea Fire Company Ladies’ Auxiliary.
Esther loved playing cards and entertaining her great grandchildren. She also enjoyed “Chief,” the dog.
Surviving are three sons: Richard J. (Sharon) Reeder and Robert D. (Debbie) Reeder, both of Lock Haven and Kevin J. (Alice) Reeder of Greenville, TN; 9 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by four brothers: Leonard, William, Jim, and Harvey Mann and two sisters, Alice Coulter and Marie Peters.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Esther’s name may be made to the Susque View Home Activities Fund, 22 Cree Dr., Lock Haven, Pa 17745.
