Dolores W. O’Connor – Obituary

PRIMOS – Dolores W. O’Connor of Primos, PA formerly of Southwest Philadelphia, passed away Saturday, February 20, 2016 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was 100 years old.

Dolores was born in Farwell, PA on April 2, 1915, the second of four children to the late John and Ruby Homan. Dolores loved cooking, going to church and singing. She especially enjoyed singing while doing her wash. She loved to read The Renovo Record, which was the local paper from her hometown of Renovo, PA. Dolores was always there to help and care for those she knew and loved. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.

Dolores was preceded in death by her husband, John O’Connor, her sisters, Thelma Honan and Della Sheehan, and her brother Rockwell “Bud” Homan. She is survived by three daughters, Rita Watmuff, Patricia O’Connor, and Jane O’Connor. She is also survived by her 6 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by her family.

Funeral services were held on Friday, February 26 at the O’Leary Funeral Home in Springfield, PA.
