Shirley Maxine Wertz – Obituary

ObitArtRENOVO – Shirley Maxine Wertz, 87, of Renovo, PA. passed away at the Williamsport Regional Hospital, Williamsport, PA on January 2, 2014. She was born in Hyner, PA. on October 28, 1926 to the late Frank Prebble and Alena Melick Prebble. She came from a family of eleven children. Shirley has previously worked at Sylvania Plant in Emporium, PA.

Shirley was preceded in death by six brothers, Earl, Clyde, Don, Raymond (Womp), Kenneth (Bud) and, Gerald (Jay). Also preceded by, one sister, Claire Prebble, one son, Gerald (Jay), and two husbands, Lewis Crossley, and Walter Wertz. Surviving are two sisters, Priscilla (Franklin) Gentzel, Kathleen (David) Gentzel, one brother Merle (Dolly) Prebble, two daughters, Elaine (Mark) Wertz, Neva (Larry) Bettylion, four sons, Lewis (Rose) Crossley, Charlie (Sue) Crossley, Layfe Crossley, and Brian Crossley. She is also survived by seventeen grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

She was Baptized on February 14, 1981 at Grantville, PA .and was active with the Mill Hall Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness. Memorial talk to be given by Timothy Jones, January 11, 2014 at 2:00 PM at the Mill Hall Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness, 1 Homestead Drive, Mill Hall, PA 17751.
