Driver Charged With Homicide in Fatal Crash Castanea Township

On Friday, May 2, 2025, PSP Lamar obtained an arrest warrant for Dwight Meyer, 29, of North Fairview Street in Lock Haven. At approximately 1:30 p.m., he was taken into custody and transported to the Clinton County Correctional Facility, where he will be arraigned on charges of Murder of the 3rd Degree, Murder of the 3rd Degree of Unborn Child, Aggravated Assault, Aggravated Assault on Unborn Child, Homicide by Vehicle while Driving Under the Influence, Involuntary Manslaughter, Driving Under the Influence and related charges. 

Charges were filed with Judge Heidi Wright through District Court 25-3-02. Arraignment is pending through District Court 25-3-02 while Meyer remains at the Clinton County Correctional Facility. Bail was denied. 

On April 10, 2025, at approximately 6:26 p.m., on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, PSP Lamar Units were dispatched to a wrong-way driver who was traveling South in the Northbound lanes of US-220. Minutes later, PSP Lamar was advised of a two-vehicle crash with entrapment on US-220 North near mile marker 110.3, with the closest exit being Lock Haven. Dwight Meyer, W/N-M, 29 YOA, from Lock Haven, operating a green Chevrolet Malibu. Amanda Geisewite, W/N- F, 28 YOA, from Loganton, was operating a gray Mazda CX-5 with a front seat passenger, Evan Geisewite, W/N-M, 29 YOA, of Loganton. 

It was determined that Meyer was traveling South in the Northbound lanes. Geisewite was traveling North in the Northbound lanes. All parties were extracted by mechanical means. Meyer was transported for suspected serious injuries. Evan Geisewite was transported and later pronounced deceased. Amanda Geisewite was transported via life flight for suspected serious injuries.
