Dewey L. Calhoun, Sr. – Obituary
He was the beloved husband of Frances Mae (Shean) Calhoun. On June 29th they would have celebrated 58 years of marriage. Their love for each other was one of true devotion.
Born in Lock Haven, Pa, he was the son of the (Late) Dorice A. Calhoun, and Mary V. (Daugherty) Calhoun.
Dewey had a great sense of humor, and always willing to help family, & friends with anything they needed. He enjoyed family gatherings, music, traveling, cars, boating, and swimming.
He is survived by two daughters, Yvonne M Calhoun of Pittsville, MD, and Gail P Valora of North Bend Pa, a Son Dewey L Calhoun Jr (Renae) of Etters Pa. and an aunt, Twila P Daugherty of Orange City, FL.
Six grandsons, Nicholas, Clifton, Michael, Toby, Cameron, Austin and a granddaughter Emily.
Three great granddaughters Sophia, Catherine, and Paige. Beloved dog “Furbie”.
He was pre-deceased by a sister Daisey B (Calhoun) Freeman.
At Dewey’s request, a private memorial service will be held at Saint John Newman Berlin, Maryland.
Final resting place will be at the Maple Grove Cemetery, Leidy, PA.
