HERSHEY – Central Mountain Wildcat senior again had to settle for a second place finish in the PIAA Class AAA State wrestling championships, as he dropped a 1-0 decision to Eren Sement of Council Rock North in the finals at 145 pounds.

After a scoreless first period Sement scored the only point of the bout with an escape early in the second period, but neither wrestler could get a takedown and it was 1-0 heading into the final period. Perry chose down to start the final stanza and was unable to get away from Sement and the final was set at 1-0.

Perry finished his outstanding senior season with a 42-4 record and a career mark of 161-16 with 97 career falls, to go with four state place finishes, as he captured a state title as a freshman and then a third place finish as a sophomore. He then went back to back with second place finishes the last two seasons.

Sement finished his senior season with a 54-2 record and a career mark of 179-20, as he placed third in the states the last three seasons before capturing the title this year. Sement is heading to Michigan and may meet up with Perry down the road, as the Bucktail senior is taking his talent to Penn State.

A complete wrap up of the Class AAA tournament will follow after the finals are concluded.
