WAGNER FALLS INTO CONSI SEMIFINALS AT STATES

HERSHEY – Central Mountain Lady Wildcat junior Kendall Wagner quest for a state title came to end , as she lost by a fall in the Girls PIAA championship semifinals and will fall into the consolation semifinals, but can finish no worse than sixth. 

Wagner was trailing 2-0, when she and Southeast champion Bryce Snyder (32-4) of Palisades got locked up in upper body moves and when they came to the mat, Snyder had Wagner in a headlock and recorded the fall in 1:28 of the second period. Snyder is a two-time state fourth place finisher and is now 33-4 with 30 pins on the season. 

Wagner, now 27-8, will face the winner of the consolation quarterfinal round bout between Sierra Ripka (33-3) of Greater Nanticoke vs Angela Imorhoa (31-4) of York Suburban in the consolation semifinals to be wrestled Saturday at 9:30am.. The winner will wrestle for third and the loser will wrestle for fifth place.
