Lady Wildcats down Dubois for first win of season, 70-44

Dubois- Central Mountain’s girls basketball team ventured to District 9 territory on Friday night searching for their first victory of the season. Four Lady Wildcats scored in double figures and seven total CM players found themselves in the scoring column as Central Mountain came away with a strong 70-44 win over the Lady Beavers.

CM built an 18-10 lead after one quarter and used an 18-13 second quarter to hold down a 36-23 halftime lead.

The Lady Wildcats kept the pressure on Dubois in the second half by using 17-9 and 17-12 second half quarters to keep Dubois behind for good.

Camdyn Weaver led Central Mountain with 18 points. Lena Walker dropped in 17, Taylor Doyle 15 and Ava Doyle 11 in the win.

Central Mountain improved to 1-3 and will next face Bellwood Antis at home on Wednesday.
