Obituary – Ernest A. Hepfer
Ernest A. Hepfer, 84, of Newville, PA, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 25, 2024, at Forest Park Nursing Home, Carlisle, PA. Born March 28, 1940, in Lumber City, PA, he was a son of the late Ernest and Emma (Ireland) Hepfer. Ernest was the beloved husband of Sandra K. (nee: Bixler) (Hunt) Hepfer, with whom he shared 30 years of wonderful marriage.
A graduate of Curwensville, PA High School, he worked a variety of jobs throughout his life. He worked for A&P in Renovo, PA and Karns Food in Boiling Springs, PA. Ernest was a member of Renovo Masonic Lodge #495. He loved classic and antique cars, owning “too many” over the years.
In addition to his wife Sandra, Ernest leaves behind his two daughters, Earnette Gyde of Maybe, MI, and Mary Ellen Charcalla of North Bend, PA; his two sons, Kevin Hepfer of Renovo, PA, and Terry Hepfer of Linden, PA; his step-son, Tommy Hunt of Newville, PA; his step-daughter, Crystal Hunt of Newville, PA; his two sisters, Arlene Hines of Baltimore, MD, and Vivian Graske of Springfield, GA; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, Benjamin Hepfer and a sister, Doris Lingle.
Services will be at the convenience of the family.
