Obituary – Jeanne M. (Redos) Cavaliere
Jeanne M. (Redos) Cavaliere, 83, of Hughesville, formerly of Renovo and New Columbia, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 15, 2024 at Wolf Run Village, Hughesville, PA.
She was born on December 6, 1940 in Renovo and was the daughter of the late John F. and Helen K. (Chase) Redos.
On July 29, 1961, Jeanne married the late Gerald B. Cavaliere and they celebrated 38 years of marriage together until his death on June 21, 2000.
Jeanne was a graduate of St. Joseph Catholic School, Renovo Class of 1958. She worked as a secretary for various companies including Professional Drivers Academy, Milton. She was a longtime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Milton, and volunteered at Evangelical Community Hospital Gift Shop and Meals on Wheels, for over 20 years.
She enjoyed porcelain painting, bowling, and playing cards, but especially loved her church and spending time with her family and friends.
Jeanne is survived by one son; Gerald W. (Karen) Cavaliere, Hughesville, two daughters; Tina (Glen) Leighow, Danville, and Carol (Jeff) Hall, Portland, CT, eight grandchildren; Ruby Slabicki, Marin Leighow, Gerald Hall, Aeryn Hall, Emily (Eric) Pangelinan, Scott Leighow, Nathan Knarr and Lauren Gorman, and three great grandchildren; Carrick Knarr, Ryder Gorman, and Jaxon Gorman, one brother; John Redos, Renovo and one sister; Mary Gregory of Akron, OH; and many loving nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Jeanne was preceded in death by one brother; Michael Redos and four sisters; Betty Stahley, Alice Hevner, Margorie Massaro and Susan Redos.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Wolf Run Village, 3750 Route 220 Highway, Hughesville, PA 17737.
A celebration of life gathering and luncheon will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at the Church of Resurrection, 75 Musser Lane, Muncy, PA, from 11:00am-3:00pm. A Catholic Mass will take place in April at St Joseph Catholic Church, 925 Huron Ave, Renovo, PA 17764. Burial will follow in St Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Hyner, PA.
