Evelyn M. (Hale) Culver, 90, of Renovo passed away on Friday, March 27, 2015 at her home surrounded by her family that loved her.

She was born in Lamar, Pa on August 28, 1924 the daughter of Ralph and Kathryn (Brown) Hale.

She was married to William D. Culver who preceded her in death in 1987.

Evelyn was an avid reader who enjoyed playing cards, watching Jeopardy and Judge Judy and listening to music.

She was a wonderful mother and grandmother who loved cooking and holidays with her family, especially at Easter when the annual family egg toss is held.

Surviving are a son Ralph (Chris) Culver of South Renovo and five daughters; Kathryn (Bob) Poorman, Sherry (Charlie) Wray both of Renovo, Julie Martella, Nancy Galbraith and Annie (Scott) Bellomy all of Lock Haven. Ten grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son Jeff Martella a grandson Chad Martella a granddaughter Jessica Gray two sisters Hilda and Shirley and three brothers David, Ralph and Robert.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 4, 2015 at the Maxwell Funeral Home, 205 Fifth Street, Renovo with Gregory Wilson officiating. Friends and relatives will be received from 1:30 – 2:00 p.m.

Interment will be private at North Bend Cemetery.
