Obituary – Verna Marie Walker

Verna Marie Walker, 99, of Lock Haven, passed away Friday, September 13, 2024 at Lock Haven Rehabilitation and Senior Living.

Born October 25, 1924 in Monument, she was the daughter of the late George and Edna Heeman Peterson.

Verna was a 1942 graduate of Bellefonte High School.

She was employed locally at Dank’s and Co. before going to work at Piper Aircraft until their closing. She spent her last 25 years of her career with the Central PA Auto Auction.

Verna liked decorating her home and going on her many trips to Stone Harbor, NJ. She enjoyed shopping, especially with her two daughters, who she loved spending time with.

She is survived by her two daughters, Cynthia K. (David) Randecker of McElhattan and Pamela L. (Jim) Guenot of Lewisburg; two granddaughters, Tonya M. Irvin and Stacey Long; and her great grandson, Mason G. Krout.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred K. Walker; a brother; and a sister.

Private services will be held at the convenience of her family.

Burial will take place at Rest Haven Memorial Park, Lock Haven.
