Structure Fire/ 413 N. Vesper St.

LOCK HAVEN-City Fire Chief Tyler Wooding reports of a structure fire at 413. N. Vesper St in Lock Haven Tuesday evening. The release below.

Last evening at approximately 9pm, the Lock Haven Fire Department was alerted to a structure fire at 413 N. Vesper St. in the City. Units responded and arrived on scene to find fire within the bathroom of the apartment. Crews quickly suppressed the fire and prevented extension beyond the room of origin. A male occupant was home at the time and attempted to extinguish the fire while calling 911. This occupant was evaluated by EMS on scene due to possible smoke inhalation but didn’t wish transport to the hospital. No other injuries reported. Following an investigation, it was determined that a bathroom exhaust fan had started the fire. At approximately 10pm, the incident was placed under control. Damage to the property is estimated at $10,000.
