Get in the Holiday Spirit: Your Guide to Downtown Lock Haven’s Festive Events

LOCK HAVEN – The holiday season is right around the corner, and Downtown Lock Haven (DLH) is gearing up for a series of exciting events to celebrate. From Small Business Saturdays to festive parades and concerts, DLH has something for everyone this holiday season.

DLH will kick off the holiday season on November 25th with Small Business Saturday. Support local businesses by shopping in downtown Lock Haven and take advantage of special deals, giveaways, and promotions between 9 am and 6 pm. It’s a great opportunity to find unique gifts and support the community.

Later that evening, the Haven Historical Holidays Parade will take place in Downtown Lock Haven, starting at 7 pm. This festive parade will feature floats to match this year’s theme, “Haven Historical Holidays” to get into the holiday spirit.

To add to the holiday magic, head over to Sarah’s Alley between Stella A’s and Rachel K’s Creations after the parade. Santa Claus and his live reindeer will be there, ready to greet children and adults alike from 7 pm until 9 pm. It’s the perfect chance to capture a memorable photo with Santa and his furry friends.

On November 26th, don’t miss the Haven Holidays self-guided tours in Downtown Lock Haven. Take a leisurely stroll through the historic streets of DLH between 1 pm and 5 pm. As December rolls around, DLH will continue to offer an array of festive events. On December 1st, participating downtown Lock Haven locations will host the Sip and Shop event from 5 pm to 8 pm. Enjoy a night of shopping while sipping on delicious beverages provided at local businesses. It’s the perfect way to unwind after a long week and find those last-minute holiday gifts.

Starting December 2nd and continuing on the 9th and 16th, DLH will host additional Small Business Saturdays. Take advantage of special deals, giveaways, and promotions at participating businesses from 9 am to 6 pm. With the holidays approaching, it’s a great time to support local businesses and find unique gifts for loved ones at discounted prices.

Santa will also be making frequent visits to DLH throughout December. Visit The Station Gallery located at 2 East Bald Eagle Street on Fridays from 5 pm to 8 pm and on Saturdays from 1 pm to 4 pm to meet Santa Claus. Bring the little ones for a chance to share their Christmas wishes and take memorable photos.

Another must-see event is the Holiday Display at Canal Park on East Water Street in Lock Haven. Starting on December 2nd and running through January 7th, the park will come alive with festive lights and decorations. Every evening starting at 5 pm, visitors can stroll through the park and experience the magic of the holiday season.

For those looking for a fun and delicious breakfast with Santa, mark your calendars for December 9th. Head over to 3 East Walnut Street in Lock Haven at 9 am for a scrumptious breakfast and the chance to meet Santa Claus in person.

If you’re a fan of live music, don’t miss the Holiday Concert: “A Blue Christmas with Billy Price” on December 9th. Held at The Roxy Theater located at 308 East Main Street in Lock Haven, the concert will start at 7 pm with doors opening at 5:30 pm. Enjoy an evening of soulful holiday tunes and get in the groove of the season.

On December 10th, the Heisey Holiday Open House will take place from 2 to 5 pm at 362 and 552 East Water Street in Lock Haven. Explore the charming Heisey Houses, beautifully decorated for the holiday season, and learn about their fascinating history.

December 16th brings another exciting event to DLH – the Christmas Festival at Goodwill Hose Company located at 126 High Street in Lock Haven. Starting at 10 am, the festival will offer a variety of family-friendly activities, including crafts, food, games, and even a visit from Santa Claus himself.

Finally, on December 17th, the Clinton County Arts Council will host a Holiday Exhibit at 2 East Bald Eagle Street from 1 pm to 4 pm. Take the opportunity to admire unique artwork and support our local artists.
