Foggy to start, rainy to finish, another challenging Boulder Beast in the books
WAYNE TOWNSHIP, PA – Soggy….and still spectacular: Saturday’s Boulder Beast Trail Challenge.
More than 400 entrants crossed the finish line….close to 160 took on the full, 24-mile course up and over the boulder field on Bald Eagle Mountain, while another 250 completed a shorter, but equally tough 25K course (which also includes the boulder field). They came from 20 different states.
Runners started out in foggy, cool, but dry temperatures, but that didn’t last long as some rain set in. No matter the weather, participants said, this is a challenge that gets – and keeps – them pumped.
Runners offered up a big thanks to Race Director Craig Fleming and all of the amazing PA Trail Dogs volunteers for another great day on the trails.
