Obituary
Matthew Philip Miller, 32, of Lock Haven, passed away Thursday, October 20, 2022 at UPMC Lock Haven Hospital after suffering a medical emergency at home.
Born December 23, 1989 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, Matthew was the son of Craig P. Miller and the late Patricia A. Leathers.
Matthew attended Lock Haven Catholic School for his elementary school years and then graduated from Central Mountain High School in 2008. Thereafter, he attended Penn State University – Altoona Campus and Lock Haven University. He was currently employed at Main Street Gill, Lock Haven, as a Chef.
Matthew was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Parish and the Lock Haven Son’s of Italy Lodge. During his high school years, he was proud to serve as President of the Catholic Youth Group.
Matthew is survived by his girlfriend, Dana Eichenlaub; his father and step-mother, Craig P. and Diane M. Miller; his brother, Frank P. (Julie); his two step-brothers, Jason (Carrie) Olmstead and Matt (Tiffany) Olmstead; his maternal grandmother, Gertrude Leathers; two uncles, Jeff (Sue) Miller and Terry Miller; and numerous cousins.
Matthew was a good friend to many and a kind and decent person to all. He had a beautiful smile, which along with his inspiring personality and spirit, will be deeply missed by Dana, his family, his co-workers at the Main Street Grill and his friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at 12 Noon at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 310 West Water Street, Lock Haven, PA 17745.
Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Mill Hall.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Lock Haven Catholic School Endowment Fund, c/o LHCS, 311 W. Water St., Lock Haven, PA 17745, where Matthew had so many fun times and made numerous lifetime friends and memories.
